My Fiancé and i stayed there for about 2wks, first and foremost what stood out about his place to us is that is it family friendly. The people who run the motel are a very caring and honest couple. At the time we were struggling financially, and needed an affordable place to stay, they were very welcoming and understaning and we were able to work out a plan for us to stay there. With that said, let me just make it very clear though that because the couple who run the Ruta are a family, they also very much depend on their income from those who visit (obviously!) so dont low ball them, but if you have any issues, just be open and honest and see if they might be able to work something out with you, and if they can, they will. Secondly, the location can be a bit sketchy...My Fiancé and I found it to be close to everything we needed, which is a huge plus but just like any place that is close to everything, it can attract a variety of people, and sometimes not the best people.... however! Every single morning my Fiancé and I would walk a half block down, grab some freshly made coffee, some snacks and walk back to our room and it was always a pleasant little walk. With that said, I would be a little more cautious at night, especially as a female.... at night we would just order in with uber eats instead of going out, or even had my Mom stop by and drop off dinner for us as the motel was always quiet, and felt safe. Honestly our stay there was memorable and we loved it. The owners are just lovely, their attentive to any issues that you might have, and most importantly, they make the place feel like home.
The stay was good and room were clean. The staff was very polite because its under new management. Its very to easy to walk inn to get a room and always look for STEVE to get great deal for room.
The staff really cares about good people! They have been so good to me! They go above and beyond! They also pay attention when there is crazy people and will remove them! If that makes sense
